Yesterday I saw the price of 50 rd box 45 acp blazer brass in my local gander mountain: $19.99. I could not stop laughing driving down to Wally World to pick up the same thing for $10.97.

where do these guys get off charging prices like that. that's practically price gouging and it's illegal.

Hell the range that I shoot at charges 12 dollars a box for a 50rnd box of 9mm. They mainly keep ammo there for the rental guns and you HAVE to buy a box of their ammo when you rent their gun. One of the many reasons I don't rent their guns.

that's BS they require you to rent ammo. how are their rental prices? comparable or do you get a cheaper rental and the range makes up for it by gouging you on the ammo?

It's 6 dollars to rent a gun for as long as you want. I figured that was why they charged so much for their ammo.

The only good thing is you only have to buy ONE box of ammo then you can shoot your own though their guns. So you are basiclly paying about 20 bucks to rent their guns.

i guess when you get to rent it as long as you want, that's not too bad, in the grand scheme of things.

When I rent guns, I usually buy a few extra boxes of whatever ammo the range sells and have it with me when I show up. That way, I rent the gun and buy one box of their ammo, then shoot 3-4 boxes of it.
