Blended Metal

I did a search but did not find too much on this subject.

There appears to be a wide bit of information about this technology and a lot of it seems to be conflicting. Can anyone provide any information as to whether or not this ammo is legit?

The general consensus appears to be that blended metal (without mentioning manufacturers) is high on marketing hype and low on supporting fact.

Here's some info on a one of the bended metal manufacturers. Turns out it's not even blended metal, just plain old varmit bullets.

If I was to go to war against non expanding lumps of modeling clay that they use in their "tests", I'd totally go for these. Otherwise stick to a good JHP.

All that you can depend on from a 45 is that it will drill a .45 - .70 inch hole about 14 inches into someone. There will not be "energy dump", people will not fly backwards, and they will not necessarily fall as if they have been struck by lighting.
