Lee Anniversary Kit - anyone have one?
Been thinking about getting into reloading, again. It's been 20+ yrs since I did it (damn, I'm getting old). Anyway, now that I've got an enfield .303, it seems like a better idea. Not sure whether I'll stick with it or not. I've been looking at this kit -

Anyone have comments or recommendations about it? I don't want to spend a lot of money, at this point. I might upgrade in the future if I find that I like it and it's worthwhile.

I've got a friend that uses one, he loves it. It's no speed demond but it gets the job done, and the hand primer does help speed things up a bit. If you do you reloading in stages it does help.

They have that same kit with a reloading book that I'm looking at.

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like it's a good small reload setup. I need to send MidwayUSA my C&R license and see what their discounted price is...then shop to see if it can be beat. It looks like somewhere around $65, not including the cost for the dies.

Have a buddy I talked to quite a bit before I started loading for the first time. I looked at all of them and he suggested 2 things to start with: single stage and RCBS. He reccomended I start with a Rock Chucker, so I did the Rock Chucker Master Supreme kit - found it at Natchez for about $40 less than Midway, but the dies, digital caliper and other items were cheaper at Midway - go figure. I went to the local sportsmans store and looked at both. I liked the RCBS better based on the feel of the linkage operation.
Btw, I purchase the powder, bullets and primers locally to avoid the shipping and hazmat charges.

I would say pass it up.. I have it... Get the C press, the cast iron one. Its much nicer, and a better investment. Should be about 65$ on midway.com

Unknown. If you buy the book directly from Lee I think its over 30 dollars I think. I haven't read it so I don't even know what's in it.

i have "modern reloading, second edition." got it for $18 at the local gun store...it's pretty good. informative, and richard lee really seems to know his stuff. he also like to plug his products, but can you blame him? that's really my only complaint about the book. a nice feature is the extensive listing of loads...i haven't started reloading yet, but i thought i'd learn some about for only 18 bucks!
