Ammo Ammo Ammo
Ive been doing a ton of plinking lately, and its destroying my bank account. Cheapest local .45 acp/auto ammo I can find is at wally world and comes out to about 28 per box of 100 after tax. Ive checked all the websites, but I cant seem to find a "deal" if I want to purchase a case, the cheapest I can find breaks down to about 26 cents a round (withouth out getting either reload or steel case) which still is not that great. Any suggestions?
Also, on a side note, for those of you who are in the polishing to a mirror finish business... A previous thread said use jewelers rouge as the final polish to get the true mirror finish, and that it had to be acquited from a jeweler, but I found it on amazon.com for two dollars per three pound bar...

Are you absolutely deadset against reloads? http://www.outdoormarksman.com/buyammo.php has a great price on cases of reloads.

Miwall reloads are made on the same equipment as their "new".
There's nothing wrong with it.
But I think he meant reloading, yourself.

Don't buy Wally World, spend the extra dollar or two per box and support your local little guy gun store!!!

Natchez has CCI Blazer Aluminum for $8.99 a box. If I get more than 5 boxes, the shipping comes out less than what I would pay for local tax.

www.thesportsmansguide.com here. I like it becuase I can purchace a crap load of ammo and pay it out over 4 months. Then at the end of that 4 months do the same. You just have to join the 'buyer's club' which costs 30 bucks but gets you a 10%discount on everything but ammo (which you still get a 5% discount on) and lets you pay out stuff for 4 months with ZERO PERCENT INTEREST.
I just scooped up 1240 rounds of mixed stuff (500 9mm, 250 .45, 250 .380, and 240 7.62x39) for about 200 bucks even. I even threw a range bag in there for good measure. And the inital buy in was a little less than 100 bucks but now I get to pay 3 more payments of 30 some odd bucks and then I'm done and will order more. And next time I won't have to pay the 30 bucks for the buyer's club membership.

Doh! My wife is going to hate you! I just ordered 1000 rounds of CCI Blazer (9mm 147gr) and 80 rounds of Gold-Dots (9mm, 147gr). I paid the $30 membership fee and got free shipping and another $12 off... Came in right at $200.
The prices are pretty comparable to what I can get locally before the discount. Paying it in 4 installments with no tax and free shipping is just a nice bonus.
Thanks for the link... But it's going to cost me

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

I just ordered 500 rounds of 45acp from Natchez Shooters Supply. Their CCI Blazer Brass was on sale for the same price as their aluminum cased stuff. Paid 9.99 a box, and the brass is reloadable!.
