Hydra Shock
How does Hydra Shock bullets work? I think it has BBs/shot suspended in a plastic solution. Other than that no clue. Any help?

No BBs, they have a hollow point with a post in the center, they mushroom on impact

Federal HST works better if you can get it next to those Gold Dots outperform Hydrashoks in testing, but they are all good bullet designs.
Check out www.theboxotruth.com They have some interesting test for different bullet designs. As far as the BBs thing you are thinking of Glaser safety slugs and Magsafe ammo.

Better than box of truth, check out: www.tacticalforums.com
Go to the Terminal Effects Sub Forum and look at the Pistol Caliber thread. As stated there, Hydra Shok was a good round 15yrs. ago, but it is an outdated round compared to the Federal HST, Golden Sabre, Gold Dot and Winchester Ranger Talon. |
