Blazer Ammo Thought

My local Wal-mart is really the only place for me to get ammo, they carry Blazer, Winchester and Remington for the .45 Auto. My question is Blazer ammo, is it any good? I've been told to completely avoid Wolf because it leaves your gun really dirty no matter how good you clean it, but I haven't heard much on Blazer. 100 rds, of WWB is $24.31 and Blazer ammo is something like $9.87 for 50 rds, so this way I can save almost 5 bucks for each 100 rds I buy. But I want opinions on ammo since it's all so pricey out here in Washington.

I've been using Blazer Aluminum (not brass) for many months.
No problems with my XD45 or any 1911's. I don't reload so the lack of brass case doesn't effect me.
I usually order from wideners.com but they are currently out of stock. I'm in GA so the shipping isn't bad. I think the total came to around $177 for 1000 rounds shipped - that's $8.85 per 50.

Sorry - didn't see you are in WA state, so shipping may be prohibitive from Wideners.com (they are in TN).

I use the Blazer Brass from Wally World frequently in my XD 40, no problems with it.

I was wrong on the earlier pricing it's still over $11 for the 50 rd boxes of Blazer. So either way im paying atleast $24 for 100 rds, whether it be WWB or Blazer. But thanks for the info, I just wish I could actually afford to shoot my gun, lol. Range visits are all 45 minutes away and atleast $15 per visit. That is so damn steep. I wanted to go every week and now I can't afford to.

I agree with these guys. Blazer Brass is a really good fit with my XD40. I compared it to WWB and noticed that I get less muzzle flare with the Blazer ammo. I kid you not, it looked like I had a mini-flamethrower at the range when I shot yesterday.

Does Blazer ammo come in those plastic trays or is it like the WWB where its all dumped in and divided by cardboard? I want those trays for storage without having to keep those damn boxes.

So Blazer is okay then, for my .45 XD

I guess by reading what you all are saying, Blazer is okay for just shooting around. It is a bit cheaper than what I bought today. $11 a box for 50 rounds, Independence.

Blaser here at Wally World is 9. 97 a box.
