The recipe I use and has worked really well for me....

230gr. LRN bullet
4.2 grains of red dot powder
Winchester large pistol primers

It cycles in my 1911s and my XD45 as well as numerous friends who have shot it.

Midwayusa.com has TONS of stuff. I haven't looked in a while but some of the reloading equipment may be on back order.

I got my Dillon Square Deal B directly from Dillon.

45acp 300 gr?

So here's my question has anyone ever loaded a 300gr round that cycled through and worked with the 45 acp? I was in at the local sportsmens warehouse the other day and got a little too excited, there was some 45 bullets on the shelf. Being in a hurry I grabbed them and ran out the door and back to work without thinking it through.

You need to find a friend with a .45 Colt or a .454 Casull because these bullets are not going to work in a .45 ACP.

Ya that's the conclusion I had come to on my own from reading all the reloading books, but just wanted to see if anyone had come up with something. Thanks anyway. Anyone out there have a colt or 454? Lol
