Wolf Gold?

Anyone have any experience with wolf gold ammo? And yeah I know, everyone hates the steel cased rounds, but I'm refering to the brass cased Wolf GOLD line. Reason I ask is cause I heard they are making a 75gr. bthp round in 223.
I might just have to try a couple hundred out and see how they cycle thru the AR. Could be a cheap alternative to the more expensive heavy bullets in 223 (black hills), assuming it's reliable and fairly accurate.

The GOLD line is pretty decent, for cheap ammo......

I have shot tons of wolf through just about everything I own and have never had a problem. I haven't tried the gold yet though. Do they have wolf gold in .308? 168gr?

I was thinking about getting some of the Wolf Gold 300 win mag. 13 -14 bucks a box of 300 win mag isn't bad at all. I wish someone around here sold it .

only in the 10/22 target rifle i bought from Chrome a while ago. It's digested nothing but that ammo and holds 1" or better groups at 50 yds from a bag rest.

The new Wolf gold line is brass cased and boxer primed. It is much better than the older steel cased stuff.

Yep

Wolf Gold is just as "harmful" to okiecop13's guns as any ammo he is using now.

Wolf Match Grade .22LR is by far the best shooting .22LR round I've ever put through a .22.

Agreed. I don't understand why there is such intense hatred towards wolf. It's a great plinking/range-use round and I've never met someone who has ACTUALLY seen damage caused to a firearm from it. Sure, the laquer cased stuff gunks your gun up, but you can clean it. Supposedly the steel cased stuff "Is only to be used in tough Russian guns designed for it" (I've heard that a million times). I call BS on this one too until I'm proven differently. With my experience with wolf, you might get 3 in 1,000 rounds that are duds if it's older laquere cased stuff, but I havn't had trouble with newer stuff. The wolf debate is about as ridiculous as the "do XD's rust or not" debate: people spouting out claims based soley on their case or on what they have heard from others. I base my claims on what I have experienced first hand: XD's (older finished) do rust, and Wolf is a decent cheap plinking/range ammo that I would not recommend for personal/home defense.
