Does anyone use Power Pistol?
Currently I'm using Unique for .45ACP and light .44Mag loads.
The performance of the powder is fine but it's a bit dirty. Is Power Pistol cleaner and does it fill the cases as well as Unique? Thanks, nunnya |

Bullseye, Unique, and Power Pistol are all made by Alliant and are equally as dirty IMO

power pistol at higher pressures is very clean imo. much cleaner than be and unique.
i use it for 45 super and 44 mag, going to try it for a few others later on but it seems to like large case capacity performance wise. as for filling the case its about half way full with starting loads. in 44 mag, i cant recall how it is in acp cases but i think they were pretty full. |

creepyrat,
Are you using an XD for your .45 super loads. I've been thinking of getting a Wolff extra power recoil spring and experimenting myself. nunnya |

I use it in 9mm and 45 acp.I love it,it measures perfect in my little dandy pistol measurer. It's best for med-to top end loads.I bought a couple of more lbs this weekend.
I even use it for lead reloads in my 45.I don't have chrony, but I went shooting with 1911 Tuner from another forum and he reloads pretty stout in 45 and the ones I reloaded w/pp were a good bit faster. It took him two mags to figure where they were hitting on the steel plates. It's forgiving in my opinion and you can push it further than what's listed in the manuals, but if you decide to do so-go slow. |

it works really great in my xd service model. it shots the power pistol powder behind a rainier bullet 165gr fmj, the best and most accuratly that i have found. i don't remember the exact load but i have it up stairs in reloading data. dirty burning powder dosen't bother me thought, i love cleaning my guns!

I like Bullseye in my 45 loads. I use Power Pistol for the 9mm. 5.0gr's behind a 147gr JHP works real good.

Power Pistol is clean, but produces a fairly large amount of muzzle flash. If you don't mind that, then it sounds like it's for you.
