Wolf ammo
Title says it all...
Meijer had thier wolf ammo 115g on discount, and i guess they are then having half off all of thier discount items all through out the store. so needless to say i thought this was a great deal. 500 rounds for about 30 bucks HAHAHA Went to the range the same day with my XD9, and shot about 150 rounds, after every mag there was a thick cloud in front of me, and the recoil was worse than most 147g hollow points. A little background first, this is my first handgun, and I only have about 800 rounds of experience. Well I shot a mag full of Wolf 115g, and then a mag full of Winchester Winclean 115g to compare the two. holy crap the difference. I shot the mag of wolf rapid fire and the gun was bouncing all over the place. My novice status probably had alot to do with it also. I then rapid shot a mag full of the WINclean, every shot was like i was shooting slow paced. Have not experienced jams of any sort with the Wolf ammo yet. Dont plan on it, my XD eats almost anything. I still have another 350 rounds of this crap, oh well it will mostly go down range, dont count on laying my life on it. Anyways let me know about your experiences with wolf ammo too, good or bad. |

Wolff Ammo is both hot and dirty. The plinking and practice, it is just fine.

I wouldn't use it in a pistol, even if it was free. I would use it in an AK or SKS. They're designed for steel-cased cartridges. My 2 cents.

Seriously though, 90% of everything you hear about Wolf isn't true.

Before I knew better, I ran about 1,000 rounds of .40S&W through my XD with no problems. After that I moved to WWB from walmart. Haven't had any issues with the XD with any kind of ammo.
I'd probably still shoot wolf if it came cheap enough, but the cost difference between wolf & wwb once you factor in a replacement extractor makes WWB a better decision, IMO.

WOlf Ammo has had some success not, becuase of quality pr performance, but just because is cheap. The vast majority of issues I've seen, heard or experience has been using Wolf Ammo.
For some Folk's it works well...But soon or later they will have a problem....Not to say that all other ammo manufactures are perfect.
