Press Recommendation
I've made the decision to start reloading and after researching the subject had pretty much decided on the Dillon 550. I'll be loading mostly 9mm and .40 S&W.
Then I saw an article on Lee's New Classic Turrent Press. Does anyone have any thoughts on the two? Any input would be appreciated.

Dillon vs Lee
Both work well. There are more bells an whistles you can get for the 550. That said it's really how much to you want to spend?

The Lee turret press is the way to go its cost is much less and its hard to make a mistake reloading with a turret no double charges and things like that. And once you get use to it, you'll bang out 250-300 rounds per hour Go with the Lee for sure

Get the 550. I have owned both the Lee 1000 and the Lee LoadMaster. Although the LoadMaster was fine and does work (the 1000 was junk IMHO), it doesn't come close to the quality of the 550. Plus, the 550s primer feed is solid, unlike the LEE product line.
Remember, even with Reloading Presses, you get what you pay for. If you want to buy just one press, a life-time press, get the 550. You will never look back. My $.02 OS

Go with the Dillon! I loaded with a Lee for years, and now that I own the Dillon I can't believe I waited so long to switch. I could count on some kind of jam with the Lee (Pro 1000) every time I used it--usually at least one jam every hundred rounds no matter how careful I was. In about 3000+ rounds in four calibers on my new 550; not a single hiccup!

Short answer:
Ask the Competition shooters what they use. Overwhelmingly, they'll say the Dillon.
