Want to try reloading...
Hey everyone, I am thinking of trying out reloading... and Ive never done it before. Could one of you, or all of you, lend a helping hand? Just looking for info, links, and suggestions. I would only like to load .40 rounds to start, then 9mm. I would like to do this the cheapest way possible to start.
Thanks in advance for your assistance on this.

My advice is to start small with a type "C" press a good powder scale and powder dispencer your firearms sizing dies. A good reloading data book. Until you do some reloading and find out whats involved keep it on a small scale.

Good advice, thank you. Now I need to know where to go, and what (exactly) to get.
How is this? http://cgi.ebay.com/Lee-Bullet-Feede...QQcmdZViewItem

Start with a good reloading manual. Speers is a great one.
http://www.speer-bullets.com/default.asp?s1=1 Reloading .40 S&W makes a lot of sence. Buying 9mm ammo is still the way to go IMHO.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...847&hasJS=true Then add some dies: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...847&hasJS=true Then get some bullets: (haven't tried these yet, but prices are good) http://www.precisionbullets.com/ Go buy primers and powder locally to avoid $20 hazmat shipping charge. Pick up some brass at the range or buy some once fired. Then buy a good reloading book like above and go to town! (edited: wrong die link)

a bullet feeder does not work with all presses you gotta choose a press first

Hope its not to much info
The National Reloading Manufacturers Association
DIRECTORY OF NRMA MEMBERS: Lots of links to powder, brass, bullets and reloading equipment makers websites The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute (SAAMI) Brian Enos.com Loads of info about reloading, mainly for the Dillon presses. I got my Dillon RL550B and most of my initial equipment here. Easier to navigate than dillons web site. http://www.brianenos.com/pages/dillonfaqs.html Unless you plan to reload match grade ammo, rifles I mean, and know this hobby won’t end up like the exercises equipment bought on TV, then a semi progressive press will work fine. A bit more expense to start up, but the time savings is worth it. Especially if you got kids. Also less clutter on the work bench. Companies that make reloading presses and Dies. Dillon – RCBS - LEE – Redding - Hornady - Forster - Lyman For Dies I suggest getting carbide, saves time and expense on case lubing. Also get a micrometer adjustable bullet seating die. This also cuts down on time and saves you from having to make a lot of dummy rounds while setting the OAL. If you go with a Dillon get this. MRDial the Powder Measure Adjustment Dial More accurate and easier to set powder charge http://www.midwayusa.com/mediasvr.dl...eitemid=366769 Sites on Reloading http://www.three-peaks.net/reload.htm This site has just about all the info you need. http://www.reloadersnest.com/ http://www.handloads.com/ http://huntingsociety.org/reloaders.html http://www.realguns.com/ I would recommend 1 pound containers of powder while you are testing loads. No sense in buying to much of a powder that might not work for you, your gun and bullets. That stuff goes a long way, unless you are reloading rifles. Large Retailers of reloading equipment and supplies, there are a lot more. Fill out the forms for their catalogs, they make for great lunch break reading.
