Look at this price!!!

I was searching for good carry ammo prices and found this. I use Federal Hydra Shok for carry and I pay about $20 for 20rds, are these the same ones for about the same price for 50rds?

Federal HYDRA-SHOKŪ 9mm 124 gr JHP ammo (50 rds)$19.98
Federal "Hydra Shock" 40 S&W 165 gr JHP ammo (50 rds)$24.98
Federal HYDRA-SHOKŪ 45 AUTO 230 gr JHP ammo (50 rds)$26.98

I have another thread going asking the same thing. One comes in a more fancy container, and is labeled "personal defense, low recoil" but I dont see any difference.

The ones in the clear plastic container, labeled "low recoil", are different than the ordinary "federal hydrashock". I've only used the 40S&W, in which the "low recoil" only comes in 135 gr., while the "regular" comes in 155, 165, and 180 grain.

I've only fired the "low recoil" variety, so I can't compare them. I'm gonna try the other stuff out soon though.

Edited to add link to federal load comparison web site:

Heard several horror stories about the "low recoil" rounds. Appears the bullets are so easily deformable that they get mangled on the feed ramp of some autoloaders and will not feed reliably. At all. The stories I have read have generally been with 1911s and my XD is far less finicky about ammo than my 1911.

Just a though before someone buys a thousand or so.

I can vouch for the low recoil 135 grainers, atleast in my XD that is. Smooth as butter....
