Anyone have hunting experience with the Hornady SST 300gr shotgun slugs? They said your capable of 2 inch groups at 100 yards and good for up to 200 yards. They look like my muzzleloader bullets when you cut one open. I hunted with a smoothbore for years this is my first time with a rifled barrel.

A bit of jealousy here... I guess I'll post a range report this weekend if anyone is interested. I really couldn't find much on the web about them but they were on sale for 9$ a box, so I bought 10 boxes. I plan on sighting in at 75 yards and testing drop and raise at 25, 50, 100 and 175 yards. The manufacturer claims muzzle velocity at 2000fps (cant test that) 50 yards at +2.4", 100 at +2.7", 150 at 0.0", 200 at -6.7". I've never heard of consistent 200 yard shots from a slug gun so I'm a bit skeptical. I also have some Hastings and Brenneke slugs to try out if these fail.
