I've seen multiple types of 22lr at multiple stores around me. The only thing I don't see is .223, and 9mm is getting a bit thin. Granted there are no deals to be had, but luckily I picked up a couple thousand CCI bulk when it was $30 for 1050. In retrospect, I should have snagged more.

I can't find any in my area. I was going to purchase a Ruger SR 22, but with no ammo available, what's the point? I don't need another expensive paperweight.

luckily there has been 22 available around here so I stop by the local range on my way home for a few boxes once a week. Now if only they could keep 40 long enough for me to get a few boxes of that.

I have been picking up 40 and 9 every chance I get as long as it's not outrageous. I just don't understand the run on 22 lr. I will probably break down and buy the Ruger this week in hopes of finding ammo soon. It's still at my LGS, and from what I hear they are getting hard to find also.

I live in a small town w/limited places to buy. Only about 4 places with in 40miles one way. So I over paid in order to get some. Now it will show up everywhere!!!

Today I stopped at a few places and picked up .22LR just because of this thread... I wanted to see what was out there. I focused on bricks and bulk packs.

1st stop was Walmart. I bought the last two Winchester 555's for $23.37 ea. (about .04/rd). there were very few 50rd and 100rd boxes of expensive stuff but not much.

2nd stop was Runnings (farm and fleet store) where I got the very last brick of CCI Blazer for $19.99 (also .04/rd). Never seen them before but I thought I would give them a try.

Dunhams was sold out.
LGS in town was sold out
LGS at the lake was sold out. (they did have small pistol primers... $7.00/100 LOL)

The run on .22 stems from not being able to get other standard carry calibers is my guess. Can't practice with your 9mm, 45, .40, etc so grab some .22 Except everyone else has the same thought.

**** rolls down hill...can I say that on this forum? -no affense meant.

Censored by "the man"! :P
