Very good video Arthur. Of course there will be those that equate time to money and the time spent casting bullets would need to be figured into the equation. Since most don't cast their own bullets; add .07 cents per rd to your cost and that's where most of us are concerning per rd cost of reloading. Still pretty cheap if you shoot a lot. Thanks for posting the video.

When I present reloading in class as a way to save money, I always talk about what is available to all reloaders. Casting is fine, I do quite a bit, but it's getting less & less attractive as cheap/free alloy dries up. Not everyone can scrounge a lot of free brass. Still, buying once fired brass, components in bulk, it's quite easy to reload for half of factory, cheap factory at that.
I only shoot about 1K rds a month but it's almost all 45acp, not cheap. If you shoot magnums or semi exotic stuff like 357sig & 10mm, you can save even more. Rifle ammo to can be done for 50% + cheaper, but for say 7.62x39. Even 223 can be done for as little as 15c/rd w/ scrounged brass.

You don't become a better shooter unless you can shoot more & you don't shoot more unlesss you can do it for less.

Might try a little trading, am trading about 500 45acp brass (coffee can) for a 5 gal bucket of the large bus wheel weights, lots of good lead for some more " little friends"

True true. I don't cast my own bullets but my rounds still come out pretty cheap. Berry's bullets treat me pretty well. As for factoring in time spent making rounds, I don't. That's time that I would spend watching tv, drinking beer, or playing video games. It's a hobby people!

Even factoring in time, just buy better gear. I can easily reload 700rds/hr on my 650. Say 45acp, that saves me $16/100 or $112/hr. Really, anyone here making $112/hr NET?? Yeah, didn't think so. I would have to gross $180/hr to buy equiv. factory ammo. So even counting my time, I save quit a bit of money reloading my own.
No I do not count picking up my brass, I am at the range all day anyway. No I do not count filling primer tubes or boxing ammo, do that in front of the tv watching Joe Biden make a fool of himself.
