Future reloader looking for first bulk ammo purchase!
I am going to start reloading as mentioned in another thread but want and need to start off with a good bulk ammo purchase to shoot and start brass collection... Recommendations needed please for price vs quantity vs brass quality?

I would recommend just about anything except remington (R-P). They are notorious for having thin case walls which do not resize properly and therefor have poor case neck tension. The thinner walls will sometimes have a case head separation sooner also.
I prefer federal, Speer, Pmc, and starline.
When you start resizing you will notice the difference in the brands by how much force is required.

I like Federal, Speer, Aguila, Winchester. In no order.

Depending on which caliber you're looking for Freedom Munitions has some of the best prices on bulk reloaded ammo with consistently fast delivery and good customer service.

If this is .45 and you may one day get a progressive press ... one key decision here is going to be do you want to load small or large primer. If you ever plan to load 9mm or other small primer case, you can buy all small primer .45 for this bulk purchase and end up with just one primer setup you have to deal with. Most .45s are large, some are going small, and others like Federal make both.
Just something to think about that might be really relevant down the road depending on your reloading setup. If it's not .45 .... forget I said anything.

Fedral has proven pretty poor brass for me over the years. Winchester has always been pretty good. I would head to Wally & buy 100 packs of WWB. Buy them as yo can afford them & save the brass.

What caliber?
You can often find good deals on Speer Lawman, Federal American Eagle, CCI Blazer, and Winchester Whitebox (value packs).
I've used Ammoman, Natchezss, MidwayUSA, Wideners, Sportsmans Guide, and Cheaper than Dirt in the past.
You might want to check gun-deals.com for up to date ammo deals.

bulk ammo
I am not a reloader. try georgia-arms.com. they use speer bullets (gold dot in jhp) and nickel plated cases. cost per round is about half of "NAME" ammo. goood ammo to shoot, less cost, quality cases to reload(?).
