We would like to know what winchester powder you were loading and what cal is your gun? OK I see it is a 45. What is your friends load, how is it different from your load. His shot flawlwssly and yours didn't, why? Do you know if they were different or did you both load on the same press with both the same components?

Glad to know that your not hurt any more, hope your Citadel is not damaged.
Thanks for your honesty. I'm am wanting my son to were eye protection, he does but doesn't like it.
Even factory ammo can cause disastrous malfunctions. Was shooting yesterday with a Ruger 22/45 and was feeling something hitting my hands that was stinging a little a times with bulk ammo. Someday soon he will be on his own, so this story will help him remember.

Holy cow! After reading this I know I'll stick to store bought quality for QUITE some time. I'm a complete noob but I have a friend who reloads and have never heard a story quite like yours before. I'm glad you're ok man!

Having a Kaboom is never a good thing. But do find it good that you weren't seriously injured and it happened early in your reloading career. A lesson learned of how important attention to detail really is.

Glad your ok, I have been very lucky over the years and never double charged but have primed and no charge once and had a squib but was lucky enough to have my shooting partner stop me before I dropped the hammer.
