I take a fired case and and bullet and see if the bullet will slip in (after 3 cases i'm sure you'll find one).
Remove barrel from gun, put bullet in case, insert into barrel/chamber (push). Remove carefully so as not to move the bullet and measure. Reduce that by .010 and make up some rounds at that length. You need/want .005 clearance (or more) and the other .005 is to allow for variances during reloading.

Thanks for the advise everyone i found out what the problem was, it was with the Sierra 115g HP heads. For some odd reason the XD9 barrel didnt take those heads deep enough for it to chamber properly, the OAL was ok just a thousands off i dont think enough to affect it.

With my reloads for my matches, if they don't fall in and out of the barrel, I just feed them to my HI-Power "It eats everything"

Cause i went to the range today to try and shoot my reloads and it kept jamming, and the round wouldnt even chamber and slide wont shut all the way. I had to push the slide on the wooden table to get the round to eject cause it was stuck solid in the barrel, or i would have to SLAM on the back of the slide to chamber the round and fire it out then it would eject after it fired. My reload round specs as follows case OAL- 1.14, heads-LSWC 125g, or Sierra 115g, or Hornady XTP 115g, powder N350 at 5.0 - 6.0 grains. The weird thing is i also have a Sig P228 and these rounds shoot perfectly fine out of that gun. Maybe theres a different barrel i have to buy to shoot reloads like the Glocks, any help please thanks!
YOur rounds are simply too long for the chamber. The XD has a rep for short throats. They work fine w/ most RNFMJ or RNHP loaded near factory OAL. WHen you load flat points or SWC, you have to load shorter, much shorter. Use the bbl for a gage & drop in a dummy round so it seats flush w/ the bbl hood & it should drop free. Make sure the loaded round gets a taper crimp, you should have no problem.

Your head is probably to big to go into the chamber! Try seating bullets into your cases.
