Well, maybe, except for 2 hundred rounds, at steel plates...

While clearly these points are right on about folks need to determine what works for their guns, with hundreds of types of ammo out there, I see some value in sharing what works for us as a possible starting point for someone new. While there are no guarantees they will have the same result, if 30 people shoot thousands of rounds of Ammo X without issue, and it is a good priced ammo, that is statistically relevant and pehaps would be an ammo that a new owner might try as a starting point, over simply randomly picking ammo and starting the trial and error process.

The answer should be some variation on, "This is what ammo/who I've bought from and had luck with. Buy smaller quantities of various brands see what works best in yours because what works in mine might not work in yours."
Simple. Took me a minute, but simple.

Out of my xdsc40 wwb 100 pack fmj 155 and 165 have been easy to find and never had any problems at all at the range. For home use 165 grain gold dots or cor-bon.
