I got new Stuff
I have been looking for a reload set up for about 6 months. Well last week I fell into a deal (I Think). I bought this set up for $350 So here is the list
Lyman T max turret press
digital powder scale
rcbs tumbler
media separator
Lee perfect powder measure
rcbs hand primer
2 set rcbs 308 dies (carbide)
1 set lee 308 dies
complete set lee shell holders
2 loading trays
Nosler 6 reloading guide
10 misc boxes
1000 pieces primed 308 brass
1000 small rifle primers
1000 large rifle primers
1000 147 grain boat tail bullets brand unknown
8 1lb cans of Varget powder
Every thing seems to be in good working order. A few more pieces like a case trimmer. and a few more sets of dies for my other calibers and I should be good to go. If nothing else I can put the 1000 rounds of 308 together and that would be worth more than the $350 I paid.

Not bad depending on the dig scale. Cheap ones aren't worth keping IMO, but not bad.

totally agree with fredj, just make sure the digital scale is accurate to within .1 gr. (gn. as it says on scale). many digitals, the cheap ones, like the one i bought at Harbor Freight but returned pronto when i found out it was only accurate to .1 g, that's gram! .1 g is equal to 1.543 gr., and that error, on the high side could be dangerous, methinks.
wow, i think that's a great deal, oddgunner!

You got a very good deal! The varget is worth more then half of what you paid!
Better recheck the .308 dies, i don't think rcbs makes a carbide 308 die. Be sure to lube the cases before resizing.

Should be up and running soon, I have been doing lots of research got a couple of more books and some more dies 38 and 30-30 still need a case trimmer. I will start building my bench next. First I have to clear some room in the dungeon, thought since I was building one bench that I should go ahead and build a gun work bench also. I have a good friend that has been reloading for about 30 years that is going to come over and walk me through the process (this may prove to be the best tool i have) he also just recently put all his reloading logs onto his computer and is going to bring me a copy of those. I think this is a good idea and will probably do this my self.

I got a new set of lee 38 special dies. A friend of mine stopped by last night, he was looking at my reload stuff and said a friend of his gave him 1000 rounds of 9mm brass. So he is going to give it to me. I dont have a 9mm SO do I trade it as brass, load and trade as rounds OR buy a 9mm?

Seems like a good enough reason to get a 9mm to me. I doubt about it. Might as well, right?
