Plated bullets start with a lead bullet and a thin copper jacket is electro plated onto the bullet. Jacketed bullet are usually better quality and can handle higher velocities. Plated bullet are cheaper and have problems with high velocities but do not have the leading problem that lead bullets have. hope that helps mcb |
