CCI Blazer brass ammo issues

Hey guys, I got a rant. Any one having any problems with the brass blazer ammo?

I had bought about 400 rounds of this stuff and it seems to not be crimped at all. Unfortunaly all my Kimber and Trp pistols do not like them either.

It seems that when the round is striped from the mag and into the chamber the bullet is being pressed into the back of the case. This induces a FTF whare the bullet is either pushed up and caught inbetween the mag and the feed ramp or It gets half way into the chamber and the slide.

This happens from the first round in the mag. They also randomly happens when I'm in the middle of a mag as well. I have also tried two different Mags that I borrowed from my buddy's XD.

he seems to like them but he has the XD tact and it feeds just fine.

It's a very known problem with the 45ACP Brass. Call CCI and they will gladly exchange the ammo you have left for Aluminum (which works fine) and I thank Lawman also.

I have shot hundreds of rounds of 9mm blazer brass with no problems at all in my XD service model..

Was this problem with 45 acp or 9mm??

Send a message via MSN to shipwreck
I've never had a problem w/ it either, but it is my understanding that if you contact them, they will replace it for you.

I have only heard this issue with the Blazer Brass .45ACP line. I've never had a problem with it in 9mm or .40S&W.

It is a XD-45 service. They still dont like them after cleaning it up. It seems that they work fine in the XD-45 tactical modles. Maybe it has something to do with the machanics of the slide being longer or the angle of the barral when the slide going into battery.

I got it resolved. I don't use it no more.

But I hate it that my Xd does not feed everything loaded my man. :D

So, you're saying to buy and inspect your rounds BEFORE the day you go shoot?
So much for hitting Wally World on the way to the range........
