Another reloading question
Started reloading for 45 yesterday. I notice when belling the mouth of the case during the return stroke it gets kind of tough to pull up on the handle and get the case out. I'm belling the mouth of the case just enough to get the bullet started (about 3/32). Is it normal for the case to come out hard.

I too have Lee carbide dies andI had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. I put a smalll amount of spay on case lube on the first 100 cases and the sticking went away. Might try putting lube on the expander.

I also have the Lee carbide dies. If you read in the instructions it states that there should be some resistance on the return stroke in order to help shake any powder left in the die (since this is a powder-through-die setup) into the case. It's normal, don't worry about it

That same thing happens on my lee die. I found that if you drink 4 or 15 beers before you start reloading you won't even notice it at all.

Well after a few beers and some pondering I have decided to polish the expander. I should not have things falling off the reloading bench shelves because the casing is so tough coming out of the die. I'll let you know how things turn out.
