Wolf Ammo Gold!?!?!

Has anyone else tried this ammo?

I broke in my XD with half a box of that and half a box of Magtech. The Wolf seemed to outperform the Magtech quite easily. I thought Magtech was atleast a decent round, but for a little cheaper the Wolf Gold was amazing.

Wolf GOLD

I have not used the Wolf GOLD in a pistol caliber but rather in a rifle caliber. (5.56mm) IMO it is quality ammo, similar to Black Hills, Winchester, etc.

It is my understanding that the WOLF GOLD line is manufactured in Eastern Europe (Serbia?) not in Russia like most of the Wolf steel cased ammo.

I used some of the ammo shooting in High Power Rifle Competition (was out of my normal Black Hills ammo) and it shot well. My score was comparable to what I normally shoot.

Yes, it is a product of Serbia. It has some PPV or PPU mark above the "Made in Serbia" on the bottom of the box.

And I know their 7.62x54R ammo won marksmanship/accuracy titles a little ways back. Atleast back when I was considering getting an m44.

It's pretty potent for a 185 gr. SJHP

A brand of ammo called Monarch is also made in Serbia. Probably the same factory. Well anyway a fellow shooter pulled out a 9mm round that had the primer installed backwards. Ouch.

Shoot enough ammo, and you'll find every major manufacturer screws the pooch once in a while.

I posted this pic when I got a mis-assembled round of WWB.

Does anyone else find it ironic to mate a gun made in Croatia with bullets made in Serbia.

They're at eachothers throats now but 20 years ago they were all on the same side making arms and ammunition for Yugoslavia.

The new Wolf Gold is made by Prvi Partisan in Serbia.
