I am very interested in this, as my limited experience so far with .40 (250 rounds!) is that it has a much longer reset time between shots. Now this is comparing a DA/SA heavyweight pistol shooting 9mm versus the rather mushy trigger of the XD40, but it was one of the two things that struck me. The second being that I really liked how accurate I was able to be with the XD!!
So basically anything that can help me get RoF up a little while keeping what accuracy I have would be huge for me. Tips? Comments?

I have done custom trigger jobs on both my 9mm and .40 XD. Grip is the key a good even grip, thumbs forward will make the gun recoil up and down in a straight line. Once you get the grip it's all about tracking the sights as they go up and then back down on target. This book is a must for learning a good grip, stance and mindset.

Thank goodness the gun was strong enough not to come to pieces.

Probably so Dave. I have been shooting for the past 45 years and that was the first and I hope the last time that happens. All it takes is one time and I guarantee you it will wake you up. I hope it doesnt happen to any of you. But, it happened to a couple of National champions. Woke them up. Anyway, yall be safe.

A nerf sniper was found to have exploded when it's owner (a 6 year old NRA member who has been shooting nerfs his whole life, so he is an expert) put a nerf MEGA dart into said sniper nerf and pulled the trigger. Before it could reset, the cellulose density of the oversized dart compressed the atoms (because the chamber was too small) which initiated a small thermonuclear reaction! He said (between juicy boxes) that the Nerf rep came out, replaced all the blankies and gave him a new nerf sniper gun!
If you don't believe me, go ahead and check it out online!

So why is the thread titled ".40 S&W problems" instead of "I made a mistake loading worn out brass too many times"?

I have a Glock 23 and Sig 239 and have shot thusands of rounds of 40s. Not one misfire or misfeed. Don't quote me but I believe that on the earlier Glock 40 cals the chamber was a hair large and there was an issue with bulging casings. Didn't result with exploding ammo but could be annoying, especially if you collect brass for reload. That has since been corrected with later product coming from the factory.

You assume too much. No one said the round was loaded too many times, matter of fact it was a ONCE FIRED BRASS. Doesnt matter, this has happened to brand new factory ammo. Like I said, just pull that trigger and wait for that potential bomb to go off. Do any of you people actually read the posts in here, or do you just glance at them and make your own assumptions?
