1.275 might be a little long with the 200gr SWC and cause the shoulder to contact the lands. ALWAYS try any reload in your barrel first as not all barrels are the same even from the same manufacturer. I have 4 different 1911's and each of them is unique in the length they want and the Glock factory barrel is different than the KKM barrel I bought to shoot lead and the Open compensated barrel is another story.

Shortening the overall cartridge length below 1.275 inches can dangerously increase pressure levels, if you use the loads I listed previously.

The following list of loads will work safely with the same 200 gr LSWC bullet loaded to an overall length of 1.125 inches and a standard primer.

All of these loads should produce 21,000 psi or less pressure and are within SAAMI specs. These loads are in order of actual powder burn rates (not necessarily in order of advertised burn rates).

Please note that these are MAXIMUM loads and you should start out 10% less than these loads and work up carefully.
