124gr Armscor in 9mm from my testing seems to be the softest and most accurate factory loads.

j/k I would like softer shooting ammo though. Not because I can't handle it, just for comp. |

Here are the lightest loads for 3 different bullet weights based on manufacturers data:
Federal American Eagle AE9N2 TMJ 147g 960fps 141.12pf CCI Blazer FMJ 124 1090 135.16 CCI Blazer Brass FMJ 115 1125 129.38 I shoot USPSA Production class and I really like the 147g Lancer Ammo. It is 895fps for a PF of 131.57. I just ordered some Precision Delta ammo for comparison. According to the manufacturer is makes 989fps out of a 5" XD. I shot it at a match this weekend and I liked it. It might be a bit hotter than the Lancer Ammo but I'm afraid the Lancer may be borderline in making Minor PF and don't want to chance it at a major match. I'm trying to find a chrono so I can get some official numbers on the Lancer out of my 5" XD. I personally prefer the heavier bullet with a 16# spring. I know several top shooters who use the 147g bullet.

Of all 147s out of a 4" XD, the WWB is the softest, lowest PF that I've found. It varied around 135-138 on a match chrono.

ZERO ammunition 9mm 147gr is quoted to go 930 fps. That's about 137 PF. I might try these also.
