This is what I was thinking as well, that is until I started looking into the prices more. Bulkammo.com 1000 rd case of steel case tula is 183 dollars right now. 1000 round case of Magtech is at 200 bucks. Whats the difference between FMJ and FMC by the way?

If you have never shot steel case though your xdm, please do not reply! Im looking for first hand experience.

Thanks
Buddy, have faith in your XDm. I have shot .40 Gold Dots through my XD subcompact and XDm 4.5 with no malfunctions. Obviously I haven't put that many Gold Dots through there, but I did use some cheap ammo once or twice 100+ rounds with steel casing and no malfunctions either. Hope this helps!

FMJ usually have exposed lead at the base of the bullet, where FMC is totally encased in gilding metal.

My XD45 Tactical has eaten about 700 rounds of Blazer steel case without a single issue.

I've used Tula 115gr on my XDm 9mm with no problems (about 100 rounds). Yes, it's a bit dirty but I clean after every trip so no biggie. For practice rounds, it's cheap at around $9 per box (50 rnds).

I can't remember the name of the ammo but Academy had steel case 9mm for $7.99 a box of fifty. This was Monday 07 Feb. I'm thinking it was Sellier and Bellot. Anyone have experience with that brand?
