Several local dealers have informed me that some major pistol maufacturers have said that they will NOT honor a warranty on a pistol that blows up with Wolf ammo.

Glock was specificially mentioned.

Personally, I do not advise anyone to shoot that steel-cased Russian (read "CRAP") ammo out of a pistol you want to keep, or carry for personal defense.

Unload and show clear...

I've heard the argument that most modern guns were made to shoot brass or nickel cased ammo and the steel cased will never function as well as brass. AK's, SKS, and soviet bloc firearms were made to function well with steel cased, and they do remarkably well.

However that being said, I have separate .30 ammo cans for my Wolf. Haven't experienced any problems with it in .45, 9mm, or .223.

Don't shoot it indoors (smells bad) and clean your guns well and you'll be fine.

The brass Wolf "Gold" ammo is fairly good too. . . It's not actually made in Russia it's made by another company and sold under the wolf name.

Has anyone seen anything (besides in the catalog) or heard anything about the "Military Classic" type of ammo they have in the '06 catalog? It says, "Economically priced for the shooter who enjoys high volume shooting of popular military calibers. Says new for '06. Does this mean they're making a CHEAPER version of wolf?

If your enemy is shooting a AR-180b throw him a mag full of Wolf ammo. Then watch him struggle with a jammed rifle, stroll on up and club him with a baseball bat!

My take on Wolf ammo:

For the SKSs and other beater com-bloc surplus rifles...its perfect.

For high end pistols, like my Colt Commander, Sig 220 and Hi-Power...not even a consideration with those steel cases...sorry!

PS - Whats up with the funky smell given off by their 7.62x39 loads? Wierd and too stinky.
