I'm paid to do my job, if I don't perform the assigned duties of the job, I can be written up, if you get enough write ups, no more job! I speed, run stop signs, and drive without my seat belt. Should I be turning myself in for these crimes against humanity?

Everyone draws a line, I guess. Some draw it at, "I won't steal BY CONCEALING something", or "I won't steal from an individual or corporation that makes less than $1 million per year."

Some draw it at, "I'll always try to do what's right", and realize the rest is mere rationalization for doing what you WANT, rather than what you SHOULD.

Now she knows of her mistake and knows now to hit the total button. Otherwise if me as the customer corrected her should would just throw it off as a small mistake cause "no one" saw her. IF this is a 2nd offense or more with her then Walmart would get rid of her and hire someone who doesnt let things like this happen. Your cursing the customer and Walmart for her being laid off when she was the one who made the mistake.
So let me get this straight, if Walmart corrects her, she learns her lesson and all of a sudden becomes more intelligent.
But if the OP corrects her, then she still remains a "retard" and is bound to be a "retard" for eternity.

I'm not cursing Walmart for her being laid off, because we don't know if she has been laid off. But I am cursing the OP for blatanly stealing from WM.

To the people that justify this transaction by saying Walmart over charges people multiple times daily:

It is your responsibility to watch the transaction and check your receipt.

The cashier doesn't know and isn't paid to know the price of every single thing in the store.
All they are paid to do is scan the barcode of what you want to buy, they don't even have to look at the price on the tag right beside the barcode.

But how many of us put something in a shopping cart without looking at the price tag first, if not atleast having a really good idea of what it should cost.

You know what something should cost when you go to checkout.
And if it rings up too high, you WILL point it out to the cashier so he/she can correct it. It's human nature to not be overcharged for something.

But it shows your true character if you would correct the cashier if the item rings up for less than what you KNOW it costs.

***this doesn't assume that a shirt, for example, was on a clearance rack, and it rings up for 50% off what the tag says -- we all know that WM doesn't put their ammo on clearance or sale***

I held a straight face and handed over a twenty, took my change and said, "have a nice day"

This is the third time at this walmart. My reciept shows 3 boxes at regular price totaled at 43.91

Something doesn't add up here.

1) You said she said the total was $19.67, but no one item or combination of items on the receipt adds up to that amount.

2) You stated you gave her a $20 and she took it and gave you your change back. Why does the receipt say you gave her $60?

3) If it went down like you said, once you handed her the $20, the cash register would have asked for more money, since that was less than the total of $53.40 calculated.

4) You bought a ponytailer. Bro, turn in your man card.

5) If she was the "retard" you said she was, then how was she able to calculate the change needed from a $20 bill on a $19.67 sale?

6) Unless cash registers have changed in the 15+ years since I last worked retail, they won't the let the drawer open during the middle of a sale unless the correct amount of money has been tendered, be it either cash, check, or credit card.

I'm not. Feel free to point them out whenever you feel the need. But then , I never called anyone a "Retard" did I? And WOW, in a hundred or so posts SIX misuses or misspellings. TSK, TSK, TSK. Should I go back through Your posts and spell check and grammar check them?

He doesnt deserve crap. He just got extremely lucky!

He didn't pay for all of it. He paid for only 1 of the boxes.

NO he did pay for all the ammo. It was in plain sight for her to ring up all of it. Like I said before, it wasnt like he had the ammo in his pockets. IT ALL WAS ON THE COUNTER!
Heres how it went down:
-He put the product he wanted on the counter
-She rang it up and gave a total
-He exchanged money for product
-Transaction complete and he left.

If he put ammo in a bubble wrap box and tried to hide the fact that hes paying 3 bucks for 50 bucks of ammo. THATS STEALING
If the ammo was in his pockets/bag and didnt get rung up. THATS STEALING

None of this he did...

So let me get this straight, if Walmart corrects her, she learns her lesson and all of a sudden becomes more intelligent.
But if the OP corrects her, then she still remains a "retard" and is bound to be a "retard" for eternity.

If he were to let her get away with this and she sees at it as just a slap on the wrist. Then she will do this again. She needs to know the rules of working at Walmart and if she cant not follow them then she needs to be fired. Its not the buyers fault Walmart has low standards when hiring employees. If she cant do this job right without supervision then she needs to be laid off. I would rather see someone who can perform this job than someone who cant.

I'm not cursing Walmart for her being laid off, because we don't know if she has been laid off. But I am cursing the OP for blatantly stealing from WM.

I do agree with you, what he did was not morally right but he did nothing wrong legally. If I was in his shoes that day I would of said " that doesnt seem right" if she didnt catch it from there then I would buy it cause I tried.
up there...
