Is this a good price for 00 Buckshot?

My local WM has a bunch of 12 gauge Buckshot right now.

Winchester 00 Buck 2 3/4" 9 pellet (15 count box) for $9.64
Winchester 00 Buck 3" 15 pellet (15 count box) for $12.47
Military Grade 00 Buck 2 3/4" 9 pellet (5 count box) for $4.87

I don't shoot a lot of 12 gauge, especially Buckshot so I don't know if this is about right or a good deal.

wow! i'd say that winnie 00 - 9 for $9.64 is a good deal for 15 shells. my local walmart sells those in 5 shell boxes for $4.50. So you're getting 5 more than me for the same price.

Yep, good price. Buy 50, shoot 5 for familiarity & keep the rest for serious use. You can practicve quite effectively w/ cheap birdshot, save the buck.

For online purchases check midwayusa.com and ammunitiontogo.com. Both usually have good prices on 12 ga. If you haven't tried any Fiocchi rounds you should. They are less than the others and shoot really, really well.

Also the Federal flightcontrol 00 is great for HD use. Great for hunting as well. They give a nice tight grouping out to about 40 yards.

That's a lot of serious use. I'd buy a 15 round box and shoot 5 of them.

The WM is across from my office so I'm gonna go back over there tomorrow at lunch and pick some up.

BTW: the 3" was $11 something not $12+. I don't know what anyone would need 3" buckshot for anyway. Seems like a 2 3/4" 9 pellet round would do the trick in all cases but I guess more deader is mo' better.
