YEP ... Much harder, and thus much more brittle.

Yeah, as a reloader, I'm not a huge fan.

I just shot some reloaded nickel .223 today. Very easy to find the cases after the shot.

I found a tip about using Nu Finish car polish somewhere and after trying it I have never seen prettier brass. I can make dull range brass look way better than brand new with it and fine crushed walnut media. I have used the treated walnut with the red roush stuff and even some Hornady polish additive and nothing touches the Nu Finish. Just a tip for anyone who did not know.

have to second what the others have said. The nickel wont last as long reloading, yes it cleans up faster but also wears out faster too. It all depends on how much reloading and shooting you are gonna do?

I don't have any nickel rifle brass, but the nickel handgun brass is cleaned and tossed into the same bucket with the rest and used the same way. Typically shot until it splits or is lost in the weeds.

I haven't noticed it failing any faster than the regular stuff in .45acp. It might split sooner in my revolvers, but I don't count loads in handgun cases to know for sure.

I have reloaded nickel cases until they had flaked off so much they looked like normal brass. It won't affect carbide dies and if it is plentiful keep as much as you can get! Load it up and shoot it! If you keep the pressure low the cases will give a long life and not be a problem.
