Buffalo Bore +P .40 S&W

Has anyone used this ammo in their XD-40? It seems to have some pretty impressive numbers. I tried doing a search on the topic but found nothing - sorry if someone else already asked.

Thanks.

Be careful about posting on +p .40 ammo. I did that once because I WANT +p .40 cal and I got flamed pretty bad for it. I'd love to know where you got this ammo, I'd like to try it out.

I think the problem is their is no SAMMI (two Ms?) specs for +P for .40 So either they are lying or its probably not the safest.

I got a problem with companies marketing a high velocity ammo as +p just to sell it. The company has a good rep for ammo but even they say on their website that they are achieving those velocities with lower pressure. Well that means its not +p. I doubt any ammo manufacture would load a case over the standard pressure guidelines. Talk about a liability "when" someone KBs their gun and is injured.

Mike from DoubleTap doesnt publish their 40 loading as +p. Call it what it is, high velocity standard pressure. Let the numbers speak for themselves.

40 S&W +p is like saying 45 gap +p, they are already loaded to max pressure in standard ratings.

So +p has nothing to do with velocities?

I just care about the velocity. So if lower, thus safer, pressures could be used....why do we even bother with +p and just use the slower burning powders?

What would be the advantage with a +p round over a high velocity normal pressure round? This is starting to not make sense (I mean, why people would do certain things).
