Berry bullets, Tite Group and Lee pro 1000

I just loaded and test shot some 115 grain Berry plated bullets with Tite Group powder. The press used was a Lee Pro 1000. The fist rounds I loaded @ 4.1 grains and a COL of 1.140. This round shot nice but the brass was very dirty. The next round was 4.5 grains with the same COL. This round seamed to have heavy recoil. I am looking for a nice shooting round that my girl can shoot too.

So the question is, what is a person to do when the Lee powder disk do not allow for the grain drop of powder I would like to try next? I was thinking that 5.3 grains may be what the doctor ordered. Before you start to tell me to change presses I really like the Lee Pro 1000 after working out the few bugs it has.

The next question is, have any of you loaded Berry bullets and Tite group and what you found best. The gun that I am using is the one and only 9mm- XDM.

Thanks for any info,
Al

Used the 115 gr Berry's bullet with 4.4 gr Titegroup. Ran some at 4.6. Both shot well and a little dirty. COAL for mine was 1.150. You might want the Universal charge bar (guess it will work with the 1000 but don't know for sure. Here's the link:

I stand corrected. Posting from memory is as bad as reloading from memory. Checked the logs and the loads stated in the previous post were for Precision Delta 115 FMJ. Bad mistake on my part in citing incorrect information. My loads for the Berry's plated 115 gr were 4.2 and did run some at 4.4 and both did run well. Next time I will check my info before posting.

I've been using Berry's 115 grain RNDS with 4.4 gr Titegroup at 1.135" for several thousand rounds. It works well in my XD9-SC and my XDm-9.
