Wisconsin Cartridge? Any experience?
Hello to all.
I have been lurking around here for a while now and will hopefully be getting my first pistol soon, looking at the XD9 or 40 SC.
I found a website Wisconsin Cartridge
They seem to have pretty good prices on 9mm ammo.
50 rds - $17.00
100 rds - $33.50
500 rds - $165.00
1000 rds - $325.00
I was just wondering if anyone here has ever ordered/used this ammo and if it was any good?

Welcome to the forum, willow!
I don't have any experience with Wisconsin Cartridge, but if you're just looking for "range ammo" -- ammo to practice with -- then you can do better. Much better.
The prices you quoted are for hollow-point rounds. For range ammo, just use full-metal jacket, round-nose (FMJ) ammo; it's cheaper, and it still puts a hole in the paper.
At your local Walmart, you can buy 9mm FMJ ammo for about $9 per 50. Granted, there are some availability issues at the moment and you may or may not be able to find it there, but it's worth a try. Every time you go by a Walmart, stop and check and buy it if you can find it.

I would not consider those to be good prices on 9mm ammo, if they're just plinking rounds.
THe prices you quote above are for hollow-point. Their FMJ ball ammo is a bit better, but still no bargain.

When I lived in Wisconsin I used the stuff all the time and it always went bang.
