For my 9mm i was using 124g fmj montana gold i swear they shoot a bit better than the 115g flavor. but then my stupid store i was going to ran out of bullets and they wont have any for probably 2-3 weeks so i think ill start ordering online. Or maybe you use hollow points? or what different kinds of jacketed bullets there actually are to use.

I am not picky I shoot cast lead for plinking loads and the cheapest FMJ's I can get for competition. Generally Winchester bullets or Montana Gold.
I won't shoot plated. Don't like them.

I am loading the Hornady XTP/JHP's for my .40 XDm. And I might need to take a look at what Barnes has to offer in their solid copper projectiles. I am currently using "titewad" powder becuase so little is needed, almost half the weight of what others data requires, Since I am paying by the pound, I consider that a 50% savings.
I like the XTP's becuase I witnessed their performance in my muzzleload er rilfe with a sabot. I also like barnes because I load those in my 22-250 and they have great qualities for taking down deer-sized game.
I target shoot with what I carry for defense, I want to make sure it goes bang with ever pull of the trigger, and the bullet goes where I pointed the gun.
I could shoot less expensive ammo, but I would rather stick with a single good performer for both defensive use and target.

For .40 I use Hornady XTP 200gr, Speer Gold Dot 165gr, or usually 180gr from CMJ. I also have some berry's plated but not a big fan. 357/38 spl 125gr hard cast from suther's.

Precision 115gr coated lead. $220 for 3500 shipped. Or 124gr Golden Saber. 3.9gr load on either.

.40 185 Precision Bullets
Winchester Brass
CCI Primers
Clays 3.0
COL 1.150
Crimp .420
Love this load. 15 yards out and I can practically have bullets on top of one another. I never tested them with a chrono though.

Are you sure you don't mean "titegroup"? Or was that on purpose.

First off, thank you VERY much for the recipe for WSF, as I"m looking to start reloading 9mm myself, and already use Montana Gold for .40 (180gr)
Second, I'm looking to find something that shoots soft out of my XD-M, and have been debating between 115 and 147 grain(basically price is the factor between the two), but looking for a soft recoiling round. Think I might just have to try 124gr as a decent compromise.

I use Montana Gold in multiple cals, I like the jhp from them. I have used many different brands and for me they have the best product.
