Home/Personal Defense Rounds

I just bought a .40 3" Sub-compact XD and was wondering what you might reccomend for a college student wanting to defend his apartment and person? I appreciate any suggestions.

You might want to check out the Speer Gold Dot line. They have "short barrel" specific loads now. Gold Dots through my wet pack testing expands reliably.

Whatever you decide to choose, get a bunch of it and make sure it works 100% out of your gun and you hit your mark with it.

do a quick search for home defence rounds in this section, and you'll get alot of satisfactory results to your question.

I prefer hydra shok's from my personal testing.

i bought some gold dot at a gunshow yesterday, but wont make it to the range till tuesday to try it out.

Those arent Hydra-Shocks are they? From the blurb on the website, and the fact that most sites are quick to advertise the name "hydra-shock", I would say they arent. Not to say those are bad, but I havent heard much about them...
