$15/box of 50.
Those arent Hydra-Shocks are they? From the blurb on the website, and the fact that most sites are quick to advertise the name "hydra-shock", I would say they arent. Not to say those are bad, but I havent heard much about them...
No they are the next generation of the Hydra Shocks.

HST=High Shock 2.

They peel open like Gold Dots and Rangers.
They do not melt like Hydra Shocks leaving that wierd post sticking up.

Way better than Hydra Shocks.
Only place I have found them online is at Streichers. But i go to there showroom in Plymouth,Minnesota.

If they are way better than Hydra-Shocks, then thats a great deal at $14/50 for 9mm. Factor in shipping @ $6 and its a much better deal than my Rangers. (which I paid roughly $24 for including shipping and money orders, etc)

I think I might order some and make it my Carry ammo...thanks.

I dont know that I have read anything in any of the many threads on defense ammo about these new HST...alot about the Ranger SXT, but nothing of these new hydra-shocks.

Anyone have any opinion on the Tactical EFMJ? (its next to the HST)..where its similar to a hollow-point in its expansion but not in the actual tip-shape? Is this just for 1911 thats are fikle with JHP ammo?

Thanks

And for some localities that prohibit the use of hollow point rounds.

Seriously. Go figure.

The EFMJ are a controversial round.

Detroit PD used them then switched when they failed to penetrate deeply into a guy that was wearing a heavy winter parka.

There was a thread on this forum about an article that had info about the Detroit PD using this round..........I saw it when I was lurking and cannot find it now.

OK, the following rounds all meet the FBI's requirement for at least 12" of penetration in gel/soft tissue and will robustly expand (or fragment as is the case with some of the rifle ammo) even when passing through clothing:

9mm
-Winchester Ranger 127 gr +P+ JHP
-Winchester Ranger 147 gr JHP
-Speer Gold Dot 124 gr +P JHP
-Remington Golden Saber 147 gr JHP
-Federal Tactical 124 gr JHP (HST)
-Federal Tactical 135 gr +P JHP(HST)

.40 S&W
-Winchester Ranger 180 gr JHP
-Winchester Ranger 165 gr JHP
-Speer Gold Dot 180 gr JHP
-Federal Tactical 180 gr JHP(HST)
-Remington Golden Saber 180 gr JHP

.45 ACP
-Winchester Ranger 230 gr JHP
-Winchester Ranger 230 gr +P JHP
-Federal Tactical 230 gr JHP(HST)
-Speer Gold Dot 230 gr JHP

.357 Sig
-Winchester Ranger 125 gr JHP
-Speer Gold Dot 125 gr JHP
