New load question Berry's Preferred Plated Bullets

Cabelas finely shipped my Berry's Preferred Plated Bullets RN 230gr 45 cal.
The powder loads for Bullseye seem to be all over the place.
Lyman recommended 3.8 gr - 5.3 gr
Speer recommends 4.2 gr - 4.7 gr
and Allant just recommends 5.7 gr
Specifically load this is for a Speer 230 gr TMJ RN
What say you if I load 4.2 and work up in 10ths
I am looking for a dead accurate load.

For my XD practice ammo I'm loading 4.2 gr of Bullseye under a 200 gr Rainier PRN. I haven't shot it over a chrono yet but it's accurate and feels close to my carry ammo for recoil.
In my wad gun under a 190 gr cast SWC I load 3.8 gr for 720 fps and for my hardball loads with a 230 gr Zero bullet I load 4.6 gr for 820 fps. Both out of 5" 1911's.

You have to do a bit of extrapolating. First, no one has data for Ranier RN. So plated load inbetween a lead bullet & jacketed. Avg. the data from the three sources & pick the middle avg. charge wt. Load 10, then load up another 10 0.1gr up & 0.1gr down. Shoot for accuracy. You can cont. to work upto the avg. max. if you like, but BE is not a powder I like to push max. with. IMO, most accurate powder I have shot in the 45acp is WST, it also is very soft shooting & much cleaner than BE @ all vel. levels.
