New guy here with reloading question.
I cast 200 and 230 LSWC, how do they function in the XD? I took out some powder puff loads that were meant to go through a competition 1911 with a really weak spring, and they gave me headaches.
Thanks,
Bobthewelder

Never mind, I see a thread down a couple addressing some issues I may try.
Thanks,

Bob, my thread?
Anyways several people have said the XD doesn't like swc bullets.
What I found this week is I had to have an C.O.A.L of 1.180 for my 4" .45acp XD using for a TLC style bullet.

So far as I know, that SWC problem is largely confined to the .45, though obviously w/ 230 grain bullets that's what he's loading for.

Thanks Mike, I'll try that. Both of my current molds are SWC, never an issue in any 1911 I ever owned, or various other .45's I suppose I'll work on finding that sweet spot and if all else fails I'll get another mold for RN, or buy my bullets. $32.00 for WW 100 count isn't too bad actually, but I like my own stuff better, gives me something else to control. I also have 200 gr. mold too. I may try that as well.

There are som who have gotten lucky & have a bbl. that will feed LSWC, but most have given up. I can get my 45TAC to feed about 4 of 5, ok for practice, but irritating. It also damages the back of the mag w/ each FTFeed. So your best bet is a 200grLTC or 230grLRN or LTC. My Tac feeds every JHP fine & any lead bullet not a SWC. Good luck.

My 45acp XD will just flat not load LSWC bullets. I won't stop loading them for my 1911 though.
