I dont know if any1 else is in the same boat as i am...but unfortunatly i can not find any reasonably priced 9mm or 40 cal ammo....and its to a point where im not sure if i should go shoot my handguns for awhile until i see the ammo supply increase....another question for you guys is, are you holding oput on buying that next handgun because of the ammo shortage?
ps....it sucks having to map out how much i can shoot because of lack of ammo

I can find enought to shoot now and then, but I'm trying to build up a reserve of 1,000rds to keep at home. I try to buy atleast 100rds a week if I can. I'm at 650 now, so hopeully in another few weeks I'll reach my goal. It's hard not taking some of what I have and going to the range though.

Yeah I stopped shooting my 45 and 9mm as much...but the 22lr and mosin nagant still get a bit of use. Pick up a baby browning or beretta bobcat and get some .25auto...they always seem to have that in stock.

Ammo supplies of 9mm and .40 have actually started to increase here. My range finally got their 9mm in, and yesterday at Fisherman's Warehouse they had stacks of 9mm for $14.99/box. Not a GREAT deal, but reasonable and plentiful. I think we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Hell, they even had some M&P and Bushmaster AR's, and a Sig223 pistol!
I still shot my .40's though when the range was out of 9mm. And since I can only shoot range ammo anyway, shooting never depleats my personal stash.

Same here, I was lucky to find 600rds of HST .40, and i will get as many more as possible this Friday.

my local gun shop wants 25 for a box of 50 9mm...thats a litlle to expensive if you ask me...wal mart never has anything except shotgun shells..so needless to say my hg's r being neglected

I haven't been to the range in a while. I can still find ammo, but it's very high priced. I don't have a problem with it. I have ammo, I just choose not to shoot it. If I want to go to the range bad enough, I'll pay the gun stores the price they are asking to shoot.

I only have home defense ammo left for my 45... So that one's stayed idle for a while now. For the last couple of months I haven't found any FMJ ammo anywhere for 45 except Gander... and I'm not going to pay twice the price for it.
Recently at Walmart I've seen a sign up saying that they will limit purchases to two boxes per purchase. Haven't seen 45 ammo at Walmart in a loooong time.
