Question about Sellier & Bellot Ammo

I've used S & B ammo in various calibers over the years. I received some in 9mm yesterday from Cabela's and noticed that the primers were painted red in color. As I said, I've used this brand in the past but I guess that I never noticed the red color. Any idea as to why they do that?

Thanks.

It's laquer to seal around the primer. Sometimes ammo manufacturers do that to help waterproof the cartridges.

Their crimps are a PITA. Swag em or toss em. They'll slow you down big time in a progressive if you don't.
