WalMart Ammo Posts Go Here

I thought I remember someone mentioning a discount (maybe 10%) when buying a case or more at Wally world....anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

Haven't heard of that. I'd be interested to find out.

Plan B is to make a friend who works there...employees also get a 10% discount. That's what I did when I was in college (had a friend buy it), but she moved away for grad school.

From what people here have said, just buying more than a few boxes makes the manager come out and grill you on your 'intentions'?

I've got non-shooting friends who can't understand the reasoning behind buying 2,000 round cases of 9mm. They say "why would anyone need that much ammo?".

Nothing I say gets through, so now I say "For the Big One" and we change the subject.

When the wife was competing with her 9mm, we used to buy 1000 rounds of WWB every other week at Wally World. We tried to get a 2000 rounds at a time discount and they said no. No one ever grilled us on our intentions and frankly, its none of their damn buisness what we do with our purchases.

From what I have heard it is up to the individual manager. I would go in and ask for the manager and see if they would be willing to work with you or not.

You can try but most Wang Marts have every day low prices so they will not budge.

I doubt that they'd offer any discounts, since they're the lowest prices already. Well, at least around here.

It's none of their business WHAT or WHY you need that much ammo. You could remind them that it's their JOB to SELL you the ammo and that's it. They don't need to know what/why, nor are you at liberty to tell them or offer any more info than "I'll take xx boxes/cases of your ammo. Thank you."

I asked a few years back about it and I was simply told they can't move on their ammo prices whether you buy 1 or 100 boxes.
