WalMart Ammo Posts Go Here - Page 86 - XDTalk Forums

Just returned from one of my local WalMarts. No handgun or rile ammo except a couple boxes of 22-250, 7mm, and .357SIG. On my way thru the store I ran into one of the Co-Managers and talked to him about the ammo situation and some situations I had found out about employees there holding ammo back for people. It is against WalMart Policy. It is what they call Under Stocking and they can be fired for it.

He also stated that Home Office sent a memo out to all Store Managers last Friday (4-17), that they had been informed that some stores were limiting customers to the number of boxes they could buy. That this was to STOP and NO ONE COULD LIMIT THE NUMBER OF BOXES OF AMMO A CUSTOMER COULD BUY. EVEN IF IT THEY WANTED EVERY BOX IN THE AMMO CASE.

So if a store in your area is still telling you that you can only buy a certain number of boxes, ask to speak to the Manager and tell him you know Home Office sent out a memo about this and you will be making a call to them to file a complaint.

It's been awhile since i've been on here but wow walmart has it's own thread! well i work at a walmart in roanoke virginia(bonsack) in the sporting good dept and don't know if this helps but if anyone whats to know when we get our ammo in, it is betwwen 8:30-10:30 everynight but we never know what will be coming in. i tell every customer that asks if they would like just call and we will tell them what has come in and this has been working so far. but we can't hold any for them , they will just have to hope for the best. sorry! but those are the rules. hell most of the time the ammo that i've been waiting for is gone before i even get off. as of tonight we are out of all pistol ammo and 22's bulk but are hoping for so soon. hope this helps for the one's who are looking in my area.

After several weeks of the 6 local Walmarts having no ammo, I finally scored 4 boxes of WWB 9mm today at one of the local stores. To my amazement the price had not been raised too much. Only $19.97 for each 100 round box.

One of the local WM (as of this week) has a 1 box limit per "flavor"....this is the ONLY way I can get ammo...otherwise the 11-7/7-3 guys "wipe them out" before I get there...??!!

Stopped off at 2 Local Walmarts today. No pistol ammo to be found except 1 box of .25. Tons of 223, 30-06 and shotgun ammo. I was thinking of getting some more 00-buck but decided against it. I dont shoot 00 for fun. That chit hurts LOL.

I got a couple of 100rd WWB .45 on Sunday. I left around 15 boxes for other people. Had it been 9mm, I would have gotten my limit of 5.

Guys wm is not allowed to limit the number of ammo one wants to buy, this came straight from the home office.
