Just a few minutes ago I swung by the big Wal-Mart 2 miles from me. They had a big shipment of Remington UMC in 9mm and .45. Probably 10,000 rounds of each, and a very good price. I picked up 1,000 of the first and 500 of the second.

I was able to pick up 550 rounds of 45 today as well

Stopped by Bass Pro off of 70 in KC yetserday and they had some 45 and 38+p, not alot but some

I picked up 100 rds of 45 colt
100 357 Sig
100 38 Special +P
and two bricks of .22 Yellowjacket

that left about that much more on the shelf of each.

Left the 45 alone as I have quite a bit and handload for it anyway
Got the 45 colt for the brass as much as anything.

Our Walmart got about 4000 rounds of 9mm in the WWB 100 rds, and 2000 of the 40 S&W in the WWB 100 rds boxes on Friday night, stocked early Saturday morning. The 9mm ($20.xx per box) went quick he said about 4 hours, and they still had about 1000 rds of the 40 left around noon yesterday. I picked up 4 boxes for $28.47 per box, and left some for the next guy. Still had some .38, not much of anything else.

The worst is when nobody picks up in Sporting Goods and you get the operator again. "Was there nobody back there? Hold on. I'll page somebody."

Then somebody has to haul their ass to Sporting Goods so they can answer the phone, check the cabinet, and tell you "Sorry sir. We're all out."

iCreek you're Walmart must be getting it all. What area of Missouri are you in. I live in the southwest corner and have 3 Super Centers within a 15 or 20 mile radius and all of them are lucky to get maybe a dozen boxes of ammo total at any given time in a combination of various calibers. The last two nights I stopped by when they were unboxing the ammo they had gotten. It included 1 box 50 of 25 auto,1 box 50 of 32 auto, 1 box 50 of 357 Mag, 2 boxes of 30-06, 2 boxes of 7.62. Other nights it's been boxes of shotgun ammo or 22 cal.They haven't had more than a couple boxes of 9mm, 40 cal, or 45 cal at a time for a long time. There has been a couple of times that I have been told that they got 1000 rounds of one of them in during the last 6 months. But within a matter of just an hour or so, it was all gone.

Hopefully it's a sign that things may start getting better. I have read others have seen more ammo begining to show up at their area WalMarts.

I call the manager every morning for mine (Salem,NH)... she ordered me some 9 mm jhp...I've been calling for about a month...it just hasn't come in...
figured I'd get some at the gunshow this weekend...
somebody hacked my credit card on wednesday ! Grrrr
