Went to the Wally World near me today after picking up my new XDm .40 S&W.

They had just gotten in ammo that day and the shelves were almost empty. Sad thing is they limit you. 4 boxes per caliber. So I picked up 4 .40 & 4 9mm of the Blazer. Tomorrow my Bud is going to head over with me and if they still have any left I am going to get 9mm for him and he will get the .40 for me so I will have 8 boxes for the range on friday.

The clerk was telling me that it has been hit or miss and that the truck with the ammo has been coming in on diffrent days for the past few weeks. Some weeks they get 4-5 deliveries and others just 1 or 2

(And yes I did already blow thru the 4 boxes of .40 tonight at the range and the box I picked up at the shop where I purchased the gun)

I'm not sure what's going on but a lot of posters said they went by WW to pick up ammo and they had it in stock today. I decided to check it out an lo and behold the WW near my work had recieved 150 boxes. 50 each of 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 today. I grabbed a measley 2 boxes of 40 and 45 (they were sold out of 9mm by 12pm) and they still had 10 or so 40 and about 25 .45 boxes of Blazer in stock. Seems like they all got a shipment today.

After waiting for 20 minutes I decided to hop on a scooter and find some one. I rolled past 6 isles and sure enough and employee came running at me and told me that wasn't allowed. I told the employee that there were customers waiting in the ammo section. She then paged someone and 10 minutes later and we were in business. I picked up all 8 boxes of 9mm, and another gent picked up 12 boxes of .45.

Morel of the story: When looking for help just hop on a scooter. They'll find you!

On a bright note, I was at WW yesterday They are now putting imprinting stickers on the ammo. If you try to peel them off, they you can still see what it says.

Basically says to report if their ammo is being sold somewhere else. I watched someone buy almost 800 bucks worth of ammo yesterday, He didn't notice the stickers.
I know of at least one gun store in the area that cleans them out then marks it up to sell. so maybe this will help
