Thank you YeahYeah!! I saw this post when I was at work today. Called up the 4 walmarts withing 2 miles of me. All got WWB shipments in last night. Hit one of them. They were almost sold out of 9mm WWB, I bought the last 7. Totally sold out of .40 WWB, .38 special WWB, but had 42 boxes of .45 left!!! Called up my B-I-L and my shooting buddy and let both of them know.

Looky what I got!

I haven't had any trouble getting .40 and .45 at will so far, maybe I've just been lucky and hitting them at the right time, I don't know. 9mm on the other hand has been hard to come by. Last time I went out looking for 9mm I went to three different places and between all three of them all I could find was two 50rd boxes of Federal FMJ.

WWB and Walmart, so check this out.

So I'm at my local range today waiting for a buddy to show up. He's looking at buying a pistol and I recommended him the XD series, so he was coming to check them out. I didn't have time to run home and grab mine so I was just shooten' the chit with the guy behind the counter. I was looking for some .308 magtech they used to carry but they didn't have any. What they did have was some 20rd packs of WWB .223. That brought up a conversation about how Walmart has the cheapest deal on WWB than anywhere. Even if you buy cases online. So he tells me that he called up Winchester and couldn't buy any. I guess because demand is so high right now. So he complains to them about why does walmart get it for so cheap. Well I guess there are a set of train tracks that go right up to Winchesters ammo factory, loading dock and everything. Winchester told him that Walmart shows up daily with their own train and gets loaded up! How freaking crazy is that?! No wonder its so cheap, they don't pay any shipping costs or anything.

Well just to play devil's advocate, that train doesn't operate itself for free. They ARE paying shipping costs.

Well, them's the perks of being BIG . . . you can work in bulk, and save costs, and sell for less, and the cycle goes on.

As an employee I know this info firsthand, the reason wal-mart has lower prices for everything is because they do not hire 3rd party shipping for any of their products. They own their own trucks and trains to transport their products and are constantly looking for more efficient ways of shipping
