The Supercenters have heard no such thing. I call daily trying to catch them with something. Just missed a box of .380 the other day, but caught a WWB value pack of .45acp in stead, despite the fact that over the phone the clerk said they had none. $32.97

Because so many stores had a difficult time selling through the Holiday, many stores (small and large) have cut off manual ordering. I'm not speaking on behalf of anyone at WalMart, just relaying my experiences. Once the inventory level is better, they can manual order again I'd guess... I myself am going to ask my store to carry PDX-1 in 45acp and Hornady LeverEvolution in 45-70. I've seen both at other walmarts, and want to see if I can get some of that closer to home. And I'm gonna say "Pretty Please", of course...

In truth, my ammo shelves are looking pretty good. I'm not looking for very much anymore.

But I am considering snagging a 380. Then I can join you guys for the hunt on that stuff. I've read many threads across a few boards, and that stuff seems to be consistently difficult to find.

Cabela's has plenty on hand (shelves) and if not in their store, their website. No shipping charges if you pick-up in a store.

Maybe an option for those close to a Cabela's???

My local Walmarts just get in a few box's hit and miss of each calibar... it's more of a hassle than it is worth at Walmart.

Was told that Walmart is the single largest retailer in the world of ammo (guess I can believe it due to how many stores they have).

Screw Cabelas I had PDX1 ammo on order for 6 months and never got anything. They kept saying 1-2 weeks.

I saw "QC Iowa" as your location.... are you from Davenport or Bettendorf? I grew up in Davenport (Central High grad).

Went to my local Walmart today. Noticed that WWB 50rnds was $11.47. That's 22.9 cents/round.

I've been buying 1000 rounds from Georgia Arms for 240 plus shipping. That's a bit over 24 cents/rounds.

Is Walmart really that inexpensive? Am I missing something?

That's what everybody seems to say...Unfortunately, we got 3 Walmarts here close to me and I could seem to catch them with any in stock...9s or 45s... ???

I went into our Eagle River wal-mart and there was tons of ammo stacked up on the counter so I think the ammo shortage is over with regular plinking ammo. i know SD Ammo is still hard to find around Town but Wal-Mart seemed to have a pretty good stock of all sizes in!
