WalMart Ammo Posts Go Here

I work nights and I tried to buy ammo at the Walmart in Salem, NH at 7 am and they told me they couldn't sell it before 8. I had just bought ammo there not even 2 weeks ago at the same time. I asked the guy when they started doing that and he said it wasn't them it was the police dept. So I asked when the police dept. started doing it and all he said was read the sign. He flips around the display on the cash register, because the sign wasn't even facing out and it was scribbled on and ripped. So I went to the Walmart in Derry, NH. They always get their new shipment out on Friday mornings.

They seem to always have 9mm at my local walmart whenever I go. Almost every time I drive by I stop and buy 50-200 rnds of WWB. Thats all they ever have on the shelf. I have purchased over 1500 rounds in the last month. I think they hide more under the counter and just put a couple boxes on the shelf as it sells, because one time there was a lady running the counter and she said she had more 9mm under there. I am paying $12.47 for 50 rounds and $21.97 for 100 rounds. One time they had some Remington UMC 115g JHPs for $26.97 /100 so I bought those. Haven't seen any more since then.

I have never seen .40 at my local walmart, but they always have .45 and .38 in stock

Just went to my closest one today. Bought two boxes of Federal .40 @ $13.97. They had no less than twelve boxes left. The ony other pistol ammo they had was one box of .357mag JHP and several boxes of Winchester PDX1 in .40 @$21.99

Agreed. they are covered up here and always have been. I don't usually think of .22 as a pistol round, but why not?

Today I picked up some 38 and 9mm and the clerk asked me if I had a "permit" after I told him it was for a handgun.

I said a permit for what. Pulled out my dl and said here's my permit that shows I am 21 years of age or older.

He hemmed and hawed and said that's not what I meant. I again asked what is this permit he is talking about. Is this some new regulation? I just proved to you that I am legal to buy handgun ammunition. If this is a new regulation, I would like to see it.

He said nevermind, you are fine. Good grief!!

I knew what he was getting at. He was either fishing for a ccw or also here in Mn a permit to purchase a handgun. I wasn't playing.

Next time I will say it's for a levergun and Beretta Storm.

Well, After about a year now my local Wal-Mart finally had some ammo on the shelves I could use! I went in there this morning and ended up buying all the 9mm ( 13 boxes ) and 2 boxes of .40. This is the first time in almost a year they had 9MM in stock. the .40 has been comming in slowly for the past 3 months.

WWB 9MM 50rd 11.47 per box
WWb .40 50rd 16.97 per box
